Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) F-15C 'Baz', 810 'Mamba' of 106 Squadron 'Spearhead', Tel Nof Israeli Air Force Base, Israeli Air Force operating under callsign 'LION 6' during Exercise Cobra Warrior at RAF Waddington September 2019.

106 Squadron ‘Spearhead’ operates from IAF Air Force Base 8, at Tel Nov near Rehovot in Israel. Tel Nof was originally built in 1939 as RAF Aqir during the British Mandate over Palestine; it was subsequently known as Ekron Airfield during the Arab-Israeli War 1948, until 1950.

McDonnel Douglas designed the F-15 as an all-weather tactical fighter aircraft, it first flew in 1972 and entered US service in 1976. It has been used by many air forces and is one of the most successful modern fighters, downing 100 adversaries for no losses. Most of the 100 kills were by the Israeli Air Force.
Although designed as a fighter, the Eagle was so successful that a strike version, the F-15E ‘Strike Eagle’, was developed and entered service in 1989.
